Job Description:
A gold appraiser is essential to assessing the price of gold and various other valuable metals. They are accountable for evaluating the weight, purity, and quality of the appraised gold items to ensure accuracy and conformity to the industry standard
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Conducting appraisals – Perform detailed examinations of gold-based items to determine their purity, weight, and authenticity.
- Test Methods – Make use of a range of test methods and equipment to evaluate the quality of gold, such as Acid tests, electronic testers, density meters, etc.
- Information – Accurately record appraisal details, such as purity, weight, and any distinctive marks or features.
- Customer service – Interact with clients professionally and in a friendly manner, answering their queries and concerns about the appraisal procedure.
- Market Information – Stay informed about the latest market trends, gold prices, and industry practices & regulations for accurate evaluations.
- Collaboration – Collaborate with other team members, such as sales associates and senior staff, to ensure smooth customer service and accurate pricing.
- Maintenance of Equipment – Ensure that all equipment used for appraisal is correctly calibrated and maintained to provide accurate results.
- Maintain record of all the transactions handled on day to day basis
